Thank you for your very kind words! The work on my railroad is progressing steadily. Last night the first worl-train arrived at Rykene which is half-way up the line. More pictures to come!

Do you know what happened to Bob Grech's great website? The page says 'coming soon'?

He does some amazing work, and I want to see more of it. Do you know where I could find those 100+ great photos online? Compared to the website, the Model Railroader article wasn't very interesting.

Those layouts are amazing, I can't imagine working in anything that small and getting any kind of good detail. Although, given my current space limitations, 1:900 scale sounds perfect!

It was very sad to learn that the BS&T was dismantled and sold piece-by-piece. Undoubtedly the BS&T was the best railroad display I have seen in many years. I used to build layouts and eventually all were sold due to much the same reason the BS&T was - namely, the need to move to a new house. I sympathise with Gary. I only hold befuddled awe at the people who bought Gary’s house and aparently had no clue to the worth of the BS&T as an art-piece of such great importance and value. I hope Gary gets inspired to build his next great project and share the images with the rest of us. Thank you Gary for the memory of the BS&T.

How sad. Thank goodness I found the site about a year ago and have had the opportunity to study it and incorporate pieces of it in the narrow gauge section of my model railroad, The Galt’s Gulch and Southern. Gary, enjoy retirement (I do) and be sure to let us see what you tackle next.
